Overview

Thryv Pay is a well-cultivated streamlined mobile application for small service business owners looking for a way to process payments. I was one of the two designers to bring this product to life with the help of product managers and developers.

Problem

Thryv Pay was created to help business owners process payments. Initially, customers paid for these services through external software like Square, Braintree, Stripe, etc. The idea was to use our own payment processor bundled within Thryv's management tool to save business owners who use Thryv money in credit card processing and give users a more streamlined experience.

Goal

The goal was to build a digital platform that will give our users the ability to process payments quicker, easier and cheaper through Thryv Pay.

Competitive Analysis and Research

I did extensive competitive research and analysis to identify what solutions exist, what's working for others in the market, and where we might be able to improve. I looked into Venmo, Cash App, Square, Stripe, and indirect competitors like Bank of America.

Some Sketches Of The Main Proponents Of Onboarding

Prototype

Once our sketches were done we moved into creating mid fidelity wireframes using Figma. Eventually, we received all design attributes from our marketing team these consisted of icons, photos, logos, and color palettes. Going from module to module we brought everything to hi-fidelity. While working through this progress we iterated our designs a few times having weekly meetings with our product managers until we finally got to the finish line.

Usability Test

Prior to launch, we were able to test our designs with several users. We used user testing where we were able to test 8 - 11 unmoderated tests. Our results came back 100% positive.
